TWO football-mad brothers from Pembrokeshire have racked up more than six million views across social media this month as their parents document their journey towards a shared dream of becoming professional footballers.

Hunter, aged seven, and his ten-year-old brother Braxton, from Monkton, have quickly attracted a huge online audience through their TikTok account @TheFootballerDad.

Run by their parents, Abi Roberts and Jamie Hunt, the profile itself is named Braxton and Hunter’s Journey and follows the brothers through training sessions, matches, football challenges, stadium visits and everyday life as two youngsters completely obsessed with the game.

And it doesn't take long to see just how seriously football is taken in the family home.

Their dad Jamie has transformed the garden into an impressive home football training hub, complete with artificial turf, a football goal, surrounding netting to stop stray balls leaving the garden, football team flags and a full suite of training equipment.

It's a setup that gets plenty of use. The boys can be found playing or training most nights of the week, whether that's with their respective teams or putting in extra practice at home.

Hunter currently plays for Monkton Swifts alongside SSA Pembrokeshire, while Braxton plays for Haverfordwest.

But football doesn't end when they leave the pitch.

The brothers genuinely eat, sleep and live the sport, regularly spending their evenings practising before heading to bed reading football autobiographies, trivia books and stories about some of the players they hope to follow in the footsteps of one day.

From filming their progress to millions of views

Jamie initially started filming the boys as a way of documenting their progress and capturing memories of their football journey.

What began as a record of two young brothers doing what they love has since developed into a rapidly growing social media page attracting millions of views.

Pembrokeshire-based Whitestone Media Group has also been working alongside Jamie to help manage and develop the page, producing high-quality social media content around the boys' football journey and helping the family build on the rapid growth of the account.

The Whitestone team has also been filming the boys' football trips and stadium experiences, helping turn the visits into professionally produced content for their growing online audience.

Jamie Hunt said: “I originally started filming the boys because football is such a massive part of their lives and I wanted to be able to look back and see how far they'd come.

“We never expected the videos to reach the sort of audience they have.

“For us it's still about documenting their journey and letting them enjoy their football.

“They absolutely live and breathe it. If they're not training or playing a match, they're normally in the garden with a ball, watching football or reading about it before bed.

“To see millions of people now watching and supporting them is incredible.

“They're only seven and ten, so there's a very long way to go, but they both have that dream of becoming professional footballers and, as parents, we just want to give them as many opportunities and experiences as we can while making sure they're enjoying every minute of it.”

In just one month, content featuring Hunter and Braxton has generated more than six million views across social media, with people following everything from their training and skills to the football experiences they're enjoying along the way.

Taking their football journey on the road

Their growing online journey has already taken the family to one of English football's most famous grounds, with Hunter and Braxton recently travelling to Liverpool for a tour of Anfield Stadium.

The trip was also filmed by Whitestone Media Group as part of the ongoing content being created around the brothers' journey.

Another football adventure is already on the horizon, with the family preparing to travel to London for a tour of Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, which will also be captured as part of their growing online series.

For two boys who dream about potentially playing at that level themselves one day, the stadium visits provide an opportunity to experience some of the biggest venues in the game and learn more about the clubs, players and history behind them.

Both brothers ultimately aspire to become professional footballers and are already dedicating a huge amount of their young lives to developing their game.

Whether they're representing their clubs, putting in extra practice in the garden, watching football, visiting stadiums or reading about the sport before bed, football is rarely far away.

Local businesses invited to become part of their journey

With Braxton and Hunter’s Journey now reaching millions of viewers, Abi and Jamie are also looking to work with local businesses that would like to support the boys' journey while gaining additional exposure through their rapidly growing social media content.

Businesses have the opportunity to have their logos and branding featured within future videos, including professionally produced content and coverage from football trips and stadium visits.

Support from businesses will help fund future stadium tours, football trips and other experiences for Hunter and Braxton, while allowing participating businesses to put their brand in front of the increasingly large audience following the boys' story.

With Whitestone Media Group continuing to work alongside the family on the management and production of the page, the aim is to continue developing the quality and variety of the content as the audience grows.

Jamie added: “If there are local businesses that would like to come along on the journey with us, we'd love to hear from them.”
