Work commenced this week on the demolition of one of Tenby's best known beach facilities.

The former Fountains Café on the South Beach is being knocked down to make way for a development of 19 apartments.

The development will be split over two blocks, with a café-restaurant unit on the ground floor of building one, and undercroft parking beneath building two.

Known as the 'Water's Edge' development by the developers, the scheme is described as enjoying a spectacular setting on an unbeatable beachfront location.
