Queen Camilla has written to the author after he sent her a copy of his latest thriller ‘That Day at Rose Cottage’ - which is described as a psychological thriller about friendship, survival and revenge.

The letter from Clarence House stated: “Dear John, Many thanks for your kind letter and for the copy of your book, which I very much look forward to reading.

“I should also like to thank you for all that you have done over the years to support adult and child survivors of domestic abuse.

“With best wishes, Camilla”
