A PEMBROKE Dock driver who showed a very high breathalyser reading has been given a community order and a 29-month driving ban.

Ronan Scarlett, 34, of Gwyther Street, appeared before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, August 18.

On June 22, he was driving a black Volvo on Gwyther Street when a breath test revealed 120ug in 100ml of breath - over three times the legal limit.

Taking into account Scarlett’s guilty plea, the court ordered an 18-month community order with 60 days’ alchohol abstinence, 150 hours of unpaid work and a maximum of 10 days’ rehabilitation activity.

He was disqualified from driving for 29 months, to be reduced by 29 weeks provided a course is completed by April 2028.

Costs were £85, plus £114 surcharge.
