Healthcare Support Worker, Iesha Henderson will be running the Long Course Weekend 10k on June 28 in support of the Acute Frailty Unit at Withybush Hospital, where she works.

Iesha was born at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest and has been working there for nearly four years so she wanted to give something back to the service.

“I have been taking running seriously for about four months whereas before I would go for a run maybe once every few weeks. I enjoy running now so I thought this would be a great way to raise money for our ward,” said Iesha.

“I have two gorgeous boys who are big motivations to keep me training. They enjoy riding their bikes while I run and they love lapping me multiple times!”

Tara Nickerson, Fundraising Manager for Hywel Dda Health Charities, said: “Huge good luck to Iesha, we look forward to supporting you in Tenby!

“The generous charitable donations we receive don’t replace NHS funding. Instead, they are used to provide items and activities above and beyond core NHS expenditure, such as more welcoming surroundings for patients, families and staff, and research into, and the development of, treatments.”
