FOUR Redwings emerged from their winter hibernation at Tenby Sailing Club on Sunday, 1 May, after keeping warm in various barns around the county.
Right on cue the best breeze of the season piped up - a solid Northerly with minimal shifts.
With a strong inward tide flowing, heading right out to sea paid handsomely upwind with the breeze under the cliffs proving surprisingly fickle and shifty.
The start line was hotly contested with R241 dominating the Pin forcing 249 to take off to the favourable right.
At the first mark positions were 249, 228, 241, 178.
Fast forward three exciting laps and with much place changing the final results were: 1, R249, Dan and Rich Sadler; 2, R241 “The Doc” and Howard; 3, R178 Kev and Robin; 4, R228 Bill and Peter.

A very brisk Easterly made for an exiting time for contenders for the Cornish Down Bowl on Saturday.
