2026 is upon us, the festivities are over, and Tenby Sailing Club enters its 90th year.
The club officers and committee have preparations for the coming season well in hand.
The club will be closed until Friday, January 16th for volunteers to administer the necessary tender loving care. Please contact Marc Shepherd or Blake Shaw if you would like to help.
Sailing captains Julian Cumpsty and Tom Eyre will be holding a sailing meeting in the club on January 24th for all Tenby Sailing Club dinghy and cruiser sailors to contribute to the formation of the 2026 Sailing Programme.
Two National dinghy Championships will be hosted by Tenby Sailing Club this year.
Fireflies return for their event from 8th to 14th of August, and Phantoms will be here from September 3rd to 6th.
The Redwings will be travelling to Looe for their National Championship starting on July 4th. Dan Jackson is formulating the local Redwing racing calendar.
Safety Fleet maintenance is key to running the club events, and is well organised by Ed Dashfield. The latest arrival has undergone a successful sea trial.
Junior training will again play a big part in Tenby Sailing Club’s activities with registration set for March 25th and April 1st followed on April 8th by the first session on the water.
Before the maintenance closure, Terry expertly hosted the first quiz of the year, won by Team Twp. The next quiz will be on Saturday, February 7th at 8pm.
Members are reminded that membership renewals are now due.
