LAST season’s Maderwood Pembrokeshire Football League Senior Cup finalists Tenby stormed into the second round with a superb 7–1 victory over Haverfordwest Cricket Club on Saturday.
The hosts made a blistering start, racing into a two‑goal lead inside seven minutes through Shaun Whitfield and Robson Evans.
From there, Scott Ferney took centre stage, producing a stunning five‑goal performance to put the tie well beyond reach.
Jason Griffiths pulled one back for the Division Three visitors early in the second half, but Tenby were already out of sight.
Hakin United also progressed in emphatic fashion, hitting double figures in a 10–0 demolition of Pendine.
Cameron Brunton matched Ferney’s feat with five goals of his own as the holders delivered a ruthless display.
The tie, twice postponed due to bad weather, was switched to The Obs — and once underway, Hakin wasted no time asserting control.
Twelve minutes in, Leon Luby set up Matthew Broome for the opener, before turning provider again for Ashley Bevan.
Luby then supplied another assist between two clinical Brunton finishes as Hakin surged into a 5–0 half‑time lead.
Pendine battled gamely but rarely troubled goalkeeper Rory Williams.
Brunton completed his hat‑trick on the hour and added two more, while Liam Parks made it nine. Bevan rounded off the scoring in stoppage time with the goal of the game — a superb curling strike past James Stephenson to complete his own treble.
Milford United also booked their place in the next round with a 3–1 win over Kilgetty.
Goals from Liam Parr (penalty), Scott Reid and substitute Joshua Lees secured the victory, with Jordan Gorman replying for the visitors.
New Hedges Saundersfoot joined them in the draw after a 4–2 extra‑time win away at Fishguard Sports.
