Ironman Wales Pembrokeshire has already sold out for its return to Tenby and its suroounding area in September 2026 and it is set to be the biggest Ironman yet!
The iconic event continues to go from strength to strength - selling out six months earlier than the 2025 challenge.
An electric atmosphere welcomed Ironman Wales once again in September 2025, as Tenby and Pembrokeshire paid host to the spectacular sporting triathlon.
The event saw more than 2,700 competitors taking to the North Beach ready to ‘face the dragon’ and enter the sea.
From there, athletes took on the 112 mile bike course around Pembrokeshire, before pounding the streets of the seaside town for the 26.2 mile marathon.
The UK’s Lewis Eccleston was crowned the 2025 men’s winner; while Franziska Hoffmann from Germany crossed to become the pro women’s champion.
Athletes continue to be inspired to face the dragon and who can blame them? The spine-tingling sunrise swim at Tenby’s North Beach, the cycle ride through some of the most beautiful scenery of any Ironman event in the world and streets packed with the famous Pembrokeshire support make it a challenge and experience like no other.
Demand for Ironkids is also expected to be very strong once again and sales are due to open in mid January, so keep your eyes peeled.
Pembrokeshire County Council Cabinet Member for Resident’s Services, Cllr Rhys Sinnett, said: “It is brilliant to see the demand for Ironman Wales Pembrokeshire continuing to grow and we love hosting such a global event right here in the heart of our beautiful county.”
If you missed out on an entry you can still enter with either an Ironman Experience powered by Nirvana Europe or a GoFundraise charity place to get yourself on the start line.
Ironman Wales Pembrokeshire returns on Sunday, September 13.
