TWO practice dinghy races were held at Tenby Sailing Club on Saturday, March 28th.

The races were sailed by five boats in bright sunshine and challenging conditions with gusts of 26 knots off the cliffs.

Alistair and Dewi manned the Race Officer’s boat, setting a triangular course to port.

Dave and Maurice in Osprey Carpé Diem took an early bath, while four lasers, sailed by Jules, Steve, Robin, and Howard, had exiting competition in the stiff breeze.

Junior Training

Wednesday’s registration evening saw 17 youngsters enrolling, with further signings expected on Tuesday, March 31st.

On the water training begins on Wednesday April 8th.

Clubhouse

After racing on Saturday, live music made for a good opening of the season. Quiz goers can look forward to Terry’s next event on Saturday April 11th.

On Wednesday, April 1st, the annual lift-in of craft in front of the Clubhouse and St. Julian’s Church will go ahead.

Drivers in the St Julian Street, Castle Square, and Pennyless Cove areas are reminded to leave clear access for the large crane which is scheduled to arrive at 2.30pm and will leave by 9.30pm.

Members please note that all benefits will be discontinued, and key fobs will be deactivated if renewals have not been made by April 1st.
