Club Sailing
Bright, sunny and cold on Sunday morning last week, but with no wind. An enthusiastic fleet of seven boats put to sea for the two planned club races, but after the better part of an hour, the wind still hadn’t filled in and racing was abandoned. One weekend of the winter series left, and then Boxing Day for anyone who fancies that!
Junior Christmas party
Another very successful party enjoyed by both juniors and parents. Parents had decorated the Club Room for the occasion and also provided the party food. There was the usual quiz, but the highlight was the balloon modelling competition, with groups having to construct an igloo with a timed race at the end for the whole group to get inside. Probably the adult igloo had the best shape, but the juniors were far quicker getting inside.
There will be further junior meetings in the new year before the sailing starts again early April.
Anyone wishing to join the junior groups or find more information, please contact Blake on 07717842713.
