AS the sailing season approaches, on Saturday, 7 March volunteers can refresh their skills in operating the safety boats and the launching tractor in addition to setting racing courses and laying marks, writes Geoff Titterton.

High Water at 08.17 means that the safety boat launching from the Mayor’s Slip will be as soon as possible after volunteers arrive at 09.00. Tractor training will commence at 1pm, and participants should be at the club by 12.30pm.
