Saundersfoot Rotary Club was proud to support Kilgetty Ladies Football Club recently by presenting the team with a full set of windproof and rainproof jackets to complement their playing strip during a blustery Sunday in February.

The presentation took place pitch-side in Haverfordwest, where Rotary members met players and coaches to mark the occasion and recognise the dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm shown by the squad throughout the season.

The new jackets will help ensure players remain warm and protected during training sessions and matchdays in often challenging Welsh weather conditions.

Roy Patel, president of Saundersfoot Rotary Club said: “Grassroots sports clubs play a hugely important role in strengthening our community, promoting wellbeing, and providing opportunities for people to stay active and connected.

“We are delighted to support Kilgetty Ladies Football Club and hope the new jackets serve the team well for many seasons to come.”

Kilgetty Ladies Football Club continues to grow in both participation and community support, providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for players while helping to promote women’s football locally.

Supporting local organisations and initiatives remains central to Saundersfoot Rotary’s commitment to community service, and the Club looks forward to following Kilgetty Ladies’ continued success on and off the pitch

In other news, Kilgetty AFC men’s player and ladies team assistant coach, Isacc Jones, is currently raising funds for the Club.

“I’m really into my triathlons as some might already know, and I’m competing in the Cotswold Half Ironman to raise money for the Club on June 7,” he said.
