Club Sailing
There is no club sailing until the start of the new season in April. There will be a sailing meeting on February 22 to discuss the 2014 season; ideas and suggestions from members old and new will be welcome. For those of you yet to try it, make 2014 the year you take up sailing; contact any club member via the website to get started!
Activities
Tenby Sailing Club was delighted to hear that it had been recently been awarded 'OnBoard' status by the RYA. This is an honour for the club and recognition by the RYA of the high standard of training offered at the club to both children and adults.
The club also hosted a Child Protection workshop last Friday evening. It was well attended, with members of sailing clubs from all over the county attending. All those attending were awarded a Sports Coach UK SPC1 certificate, something that in some sports is compulsory for all coaches and instructors and may in the future also be required in the sport of sailing.
A First Aid course was also hosted by Tenby Sailing Club on Sunday. This allowed sailors to do the required three-year revalidation of their RYA First Aid certificate as well as allowing some club members to gain this qualification for the first time. Again sailing club members from all over Pembrokeshire attended, as well as several from Tenby.

Opening Hours

DARTS
Darts resume this (Friday) evening when we are at home to the Castle Inn. Captain, Ruth Tebbutt, has high expectations after a two-week break when serious practice should have taken place. Our record of played 12, lost 12, does not inspire even the most optimistic of pundits. There were signs of improvement over the last few matches, but we shall wait and see. Watch this space!
Saturday Suppers
Deanna is doing suppers in the club on a Saturday evening. Food varies weekly, and all home-made. Come and give it a try.
