Club Sailing
Sunday was another calm and sunny day, but cold with a light north-easterly coming across the bay. Only the two Ospreys of Mike and Deanna and Ted and Alistair competed in the race run by Richard Johns. At the upwind start, Mike and Deanna emerged from underneath the other Osprey to take the initiative on the first beat, keeping out of the tide and reaching the windward mark first. On the two following reaches, one broad and one tight, both boats hoisted spinnakers but despite 'issues', positions remained the same. After three pleasant sunny laps, Mike and Deanna took a comfortable win and all headed to shore to warm up.
Coached training for juniors at Tenby
The junior training at the club over last weekend was successful, with 20 boats on the water and three coach boats in control. All the club ribs were required for the event that helps local young sailors maintain and enhance their skills over the winter in readiness for next season. Many thanks to all club members who gave their time to help with the event.
DARTS
Our visit to the Parsonage did not materialise in a win. Surprise, surprise, I hear you say. The only successes on the night were from Paul Thomas and Ruth Tebbutt - well at least it wasn't the obligatorty whitewash. We have no fixture this evening, so captain Ruth has demanded a practice session, especially on the double front.
