The club is open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7 pm during the winter months.

Sailing

Twelve hardy youngsters from the Welsh regional Topper squad with their coaches visited Tenby last weekend. The youngsters, aged between 12 and 15, spent four hours on the water on both Saturday and Sunday in bitterly cold conditions, honing their skills under the watchful eyes of their coaches. The club would like to thank Alistair Mackay, Mark Brace, Chris Sleight, Blake Shaw and Terry Evans for turning out to welcome the visitors and helping out.

 

 Regatta

This year's regatta on June 8 and 9 is to include an interclub team race based on teams of five from participating clubs, with all races to count, including the Round Caldey Race on Sunday. The prize for the winning team will be £500.

Grand Valentine supper

The thanks expressed last week were inadequate. It was not just Roy Clayton, but Jayne as well. Or, more accurately, Jayne and Roy. Anyway, thanks to all involved.

Forthcoming events

Tomorrow (Saturday): Cawl will be served from 7 pm, with a quiz to follow. Up to four people in a team.

Saturday, March 23: A night at the races. Eight races scheduled with £1 stake per horse, proceeds to the RNLI.

We are expecting visitors from Saundersfoot Sailing Club and Pembroke Haven Yacht Club, so come on down for a sociable evening for a good cause.

Weekly Draw

The usual draw took place at 9 pm last Saturday, but the winning member was not present to claim the prize. The jackpot is now £200, and you must be in the club at draw time to win. Next draw will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 9 pm. Be there!

Darts

Alas we could not repeat our win at Saundersfoot Sailing Club. We lost by the narrowest of margins, but had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. There were successes for Ruth Tebbutt, Paul Thomas, Colin Parmenter and the pair of John 'double-eight, double-eight' Akrill and Dave 'random' Balshaw.

Many thanks to Ruth for preparing a superb curry.

There is no league game this evening, so it's the usual obligatory practice session.
