Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club are pleased to announce that new main sponsors are now in place for the 2026 Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon which will take place in Broad Haven once again this summer.
Valero Pembrokeshire Oil Terminal (VPOT) and Mainline Pipelines (MLP), a Valero company, will be providing financial support to this event which first took part in Broad Haven in 1994.
The event, which won Welsh Triathlon Event of the Year in 2025, is set to host both the Welsh Standard Distance Triathlon Championships and a stage of the Welsh Triathlon Super Series in 2026.
The event is a standard distance triathlon (1500m swim, 42k bike, 10k run) and aquabike (1500m swim, 42k bike) set in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park at Broad Haven, a beautiful expanse of golden sand at the southern end of St Brides Bay.
The field is limited to 400 competitors. Relay teams (of 2 or 3) are encouraged.
Jamie Dow, Senior Manager at VPOT and Tim Rudd, Senior Manager at MLP, said: “Being the longest running triathlon event in Wales organised by a grass roots club makes this event really special to the communities we live and work in.
“We are delighted to be able to sponsor the Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club.”
Helena Tollick, Chairperson of Pembrokeshire Triathlon Club, said: “This support, and the ongoing support from other sponsors and the local community, enables us to put on a top quality event at a fair price in a stunning setting. At the same time, it helps the club, which will be 34 years old later this year, continue to thrive.”
This year’s event which will be filmed and televised by S4C will take place on Sunday, July 5.
