Opening Hours
The club is open on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7 pm during the winter months.
Sailing
Tenby Sailing Club was host to the Welsh National and Regional Optimist squads over last weekend. Twenty-two of the very best Optimist sailors in Wales were put through their paces by their three coaches in ideal conditions. It was the first weekend of decent sailing weather for some time.
Many, if not all, had been to Tenby before, but their coaches had asked to come to Tenby at this time to gain more experience in open tidal waters. The club was pleased to accept their request and were impressed with the professionalism of the youngsters taking part, all of them aged between nine and 14 years old.
Two Tenby sailors, Deryn May and Hollie McDonald, took part in the training and, being used to the local conditions and tides, were able to show the others how to cope.
The turnout particularly impressed the older sailors in the club who as a matter of principle (and experience) do not sail between Christmas and Easter!
The club would like to thank Blake for co-ordinating the event, Ed for getting the safety boat ready, Terry for feeding the masses after the session on Saturday and in particular Alistair Mackay for his sterling work driving the club tractor to launch and recover the three safety/coach boats.
The sailors were accompanied by their parents who all stayed in Tenby for the weekend and were generous in their praise of the club and Tenby in general. The only negative comments received were about the amount of dog mess in the dinghy compound, adjacent walkways and in particular the top level of the North Walk. This is something that the club has campaigned about for many years, but to no avail; fresh eyes demonstrate what a bad impression it gives to our visitors.
Regatta
This year's regatta on June 8 and 9 is to include an inter-club team race based on teams of five from participating clubs, with all races to count, including the Round Caldey Race on Sunday. The prize for the winning team to be £500.
Cruisers
A meeting for all cruiser sailors will take place at the club at 7.30 pm on February 15 to discuss the format for the coming season. Everyone welcome. Come and have your say.
New Dinghy Project
Funding has been applied for and the project is moving on. Decisions awaited.

Darts
The obligatory practice went very well, with most of the participating members hitting the dartboard and not the surrounding structures and/or the marker.
The doubles still proved elusive, but there were signs of improvement.
This evening we are at home to the Sun Inn. Captain, Terry Evans, is away on grandparental duties, so it will be up to vice-captain, Ruth Tebbutt, to rally the troops. Watch this space.
