Tenby Sharks u8s
The Sharks (seen right) faced their toughest test yet by playing Hakin away. Things looked to be going Hakin’s way straight from the start, with a cracking strike hitting the post, but then Ryan Robertson, who captained the Tenby team, scored a great individual goal on the counter-attack to break the deadlock and later on he scored two more.
Madoc Evans played an important role in the centre patch, with some excellent passing and defensive work to pick up man-of-the-match.
Carter Heywood played his heart out, chasing every ball. Osian Ellis kept the Hakin strikers at bay with some excellent tackles and William Diment read the play well, rushing out of his goal to clear no less than twice.
Other goals came from William Hilling and Evan Coleman, with the final score being 9-1 to the Sharks.
Team: Jack Henson, William Hilling, Rudi Thomas, William Diment, Carter Haywood, Ryan Robertson, Osian Ellis, Evan Coleman, George McDonald and Madoc Evans.
Tenby Dragons u8s
Tenby Dragons (seen right) played home against Clarbeston Road and dominated from the off with a high pressing style.
George Morgan opened the scoring. Tenby had a high percentage of possession, this leading to Ethan Lewis scoring two goals.
Bailey Joyce and Sam Hughes were highly-efficient down the flanks and Louis Rapi tackled his heart out in the midfield.
Man-of-the-match went to Felix Blythe for showing great composure and keeping his head high looking for that critical pass.
Tyler Simpson kept a clean sheet and Jesse Craig made two wonderful saves. Dylan Sine, who was team captain for the Dragons, showed very good leadership and steered the team to a great win.
Overall, it was a fine team performance with great passing skills, which was most pleasing. Final score 6-2.
Under 10s
Pictured (below) is the Tenby Under 10s side that played Prendergast at The Clicketts recently: Eddie, Nathan, Iwan, Harry, Logan, Charlie, Rhys, Ollie, Ieuan, Rhydian, Jobe. Missing is Keaton. Producing their best performance of a rapidly improving season, the team played as a unit throughout and scored several top quality goals. The Tenby defence and goalkeepers also showed their strength against a very competitive Prendergast side. Well done boys.
Under 11s
The unbeaten Under 11s (seen below) travelled to the north of the county on Saturday to play against Fishguard, with a good squad of 14 players.
Birthday boy Toby Price was captain for this game.
Fishguard took the kick-off, but soon found themselves up against a strong midfield from Tenby, who held firm and soon regained possession of the ball. Indeed, it wasn’t long before the Fishguard defence was unable to hold back Tenby’s attacking players and the first goal came.
Throughout the match, Tenby showed some lovely accurate passing between players, confident attacking play, with goals aplenty, even from Kyle Rossiter, who came out from between the sticks and scored his first goal of the season.
Great also to see new player Carter getting a goal and Ciaran, who normally plays at the back, coming forward to get his name on the scoresheet, as did Iorri Richards.
Tenby held firm in the defence and Fishguard were unable to break through, the final score being 13-0.
Team and goals from Toby 1, Iori 3, Morgan 1, Ciaran 1, Iorri 1, Dylan K 1, Carter 1, Max 2, Kyle 1 and an OG. Well done boys another solid performance.
Tenby U12s
Last Saturday, Tenby Under 12s (sponsored by Trade Canvas Print and seen top right) entertained Pennar Robins at The Clicketts.
The first period of the match was tight, with the game flowing from end to end. However, the game soon started to drift from Pennar when Leo crossed for Zak to finish off with a powerful header to make it 1-0.
Noah, who was playing against his old team, set-up the second with silky skills down the left wing and found Leo in the box, who made no mistake to make it two.
Noah had his reward minutes later. Despite the Pennar ’keeper trying to clear his lines, his clearance landed at the feet of Noah, who sent the ball back past the ’keeper into the net for 3-0. Jack soon added a fourth.
Although the score appeared one-sided, Pennar did have their chances, but were thwarted by defenders Robbie and Jordan, as well as some excellent saves from Morgan.
However, nobody could do anything about Pennar’s first goal. A free-kick just outside the box remained low and evaded the wall to make it 4-1.
This goal seemed to refocus Tenby as they soon hit back with an excellent team goal. Noah broke from the back and exchanged some neat passes with Ollie, who found Leo, who finished off with his trusty left foot.
Tenby soon increased their lead following a lovely weighted cross from Noah which was turned into the Pennar net by their own defender.
However, Pennar never gave up and doubled their goal tally with a well-taken finish.
Despite this glimmer of hope for Pennar, Tenby responded again and Zak made it seven soon after. Archie then set-up Leo with a lobbed pass, only for Leo to head it beyond the oncoming Pennar ’keeper. Zak was on hand to round things off for Tenby to make the final score 9-2.
Tenby squad: Morgan Brown, Brandon Phillips, Ollie Palin, Jack Clarke, Leo Glasgoe, Jay Thomas, Jordan James, Robbie Ashton, Jacob Salisbury, Zak Fecci, Archie Treadaway-Williams, Noah Davison, Finlay Drummond. Also pictured, Aiden Thomas (mascot).
Tenby U13s
Tenby Under 13s have got off to a fantastic start this season, unbeaten in their first four games and, more impressively, not conceding a goal in over four hours of football.
The first encounter was a trip to a much-improved St. Clears, who proved to be a very organised unit, with the visitors coming out as eventual 4-0 winners.
Next up was a trip to Milford. The boys always seem up for evening games and went at the hosts early on, and after an impressive display, they came out with a 12-0 victory, which included some brilliant team goals.
Tenby’s third game was a tricky tie away at title contenders Cosheston. A fine first half display, scoring three goals, led to a final score of 3-0, with Tenby showing great defensive duties and character to battle to the end to get the result and clean sheet.
Saturday saw the boys travel the short distance to Kilgetty for the local derby. The final score was 5-0, but credit to Kilgetty who defended well against a side that were moving the ball well on a superb surface .
So, after a tough pre-season tie against Carmarthen All Stars and a good beating from Tenby Under 14s, it seems to have put the team in good stead for this season’s affairs.
Tomorrow the boys have their first home game against a quick, strong Camrose outfit, so Tenby will have their work cut out if they wish to continue on their amazing unbeaten run.

Kilgetty U15s 0
Tenby U15s (seen below), once again sponsored this season by United Aerospace, welcomed local rivals Kilgetty to The Clicketts on Saturday.
Both sides started well, with Tenby going on the attack from the first whistle. However, the Kilgetty defence stood firm.
The deadlock was finally broken when the ball reached powerful striker Billy Marles, who slotted the ball home sweetly.
Tenby were soon two up following a fine team goal. Leo Sarrionandia worked the ball up to Carl Thomas with space to feed the perfect pass to Marles, who deftly chipped the Kilgetty ’keeper.
Mid-way through the first half, Tenby’s relentless attacks finally paid off. A teasing ball into the box was turned into his own net by an unlucky Kilgetty defender.
Tenby’s fourth soon followed, Kilgetty once again putting the ball past their keeper for another own goal.
The home side saved the goal of the day until the stroke of half-time. A flowing move from defence found Harri Phillips on the edge of the box. He struck the ball perfectly and watched as it glided over the stranded visiting ’keeper and into the top corner.
With the game won, Tenby rang the changes at half-time, using the opportunity to give the whole squad a runout.
This allowed Kilgetty to edge their way into the game. To their credit, they never gave up, and tested the home defence a number of times.
Tenby however, contained them well and always looked dangerous when attacking.
They finished the game off late on when substitute Camran Quinn was put through one on one with the ’keeper. He held his nerve to slot home Tenby’s seventh of the day.
Another confident performance by the home side, and Tenby will look to continue their fine unbeaten form when they travel to St. Clears tomorrow (Saturday).
