Pontypool 33 pts. Whitland 23
Whitland made the long journey east to Pontypool Park looking for their first win of the season in the Swalec Championship, but again came away with, nothing losing by 33 points to 23.
Whitland found themselves 12 points down in as many minutes, the home side scoring two tries through fullback Clayton Gullis and skipper Chris Macey, with Gullis converting one of them.
Whitland's first try came after fullback Lee Glanville intercepted and put winger Tomi Jones in and number 10 Scott Newton converted, before Gullis landed his first penalty to take Ponty up to a 15 points to seven lead.
The Borderers hit back again before the break when, after good yards gained by the forwards, hooker Marc Jones crossed for their second try, which went unconverted, to leave the half-time score 15 points to 12 to the home side.
Whitland took the lead early in the second half when flanker Luke Owen scored their third try of the afternoon, which Newton failed to convert, before Gullis kicked his second penalty to regain the advantage for Ponty.
It was developing into something of a see-saw clash at this stage, with Newton again restoring the lead for Whitland with a drop goal, only for Ponty to respond again with with their third try by winger David Sandells, to which Gillis added the two points with the conversion.
Scott Newton kept Whitland in touch with a penalty and a tight finish looked on the cards, but Gullis kicked his third penalty and a late try by skipper Chris Macey, his second and Ponty's fourth, gave them the home side a bonus point win and left Whitland still without a win this season.

Whitland 2nd XV 64 pts. Llandovery 2nd XV 27
The 13 men of Llandovery made Whitland work hard for their 64 points to 27 win in this Carmarthenshire Tyre Services League match.
Whitland opened the scoring in the first three minutes when centre Ali Bowen broke through the middle and scored the first try.
The visitors, who were not to be outdone, took the lead when some poor tackling by the home side allowed them to score a converted try, which was quickly followed by a penalty.
This seemed to act as a wake-up call to Whitland and they went on to score five converted tries and led 40 points to 15 points at the interval.
Whitland made some changes at half-time, but mements after coming on as a replacement, Matthew Davies was yellow-carded for offside at a ruck.
Whitland went on to score a further 24 points to gain a good bonus point victory against a very spirited Llandovery side, who not to be outdone went on to score two further tries themselves to give them a bonus point too.
Whitland's try scorers were centre Ali Bowen, 2, scrum- half Adam Davies, 2, winger Mikey Williams, and one each for flanker Mark Beasley, replacement wing Mathew Davies, outside-half Jonathan Thomas and centre Nico Setaro, with Setaro adding six conversions and Jonathan Thomas one.
Caernarfon
Ladies 19 pts. Whitland Ladies 12
Whitland Ladies made the long journey north, but failed to complete the double over Caernarfon, the home side winning their first game of the season by 19 points to 12.
Both of Whitland's tries were scored by Helen Price, with fullback Cath Davies converting one.
