No matter which way you go by road, the round trip between St. Clears and Goodwick is about 70 miles and it feels a lot longer after a defeat. It's longer still if you lose 5-1.
That's what the Saints' players had to endure on Saturday after they went down by that margin at Phoenix Park.

Despite having home advantage, the Seasiders just scraped a win against the Wizards thanks to goals by Curtis Hurlow, Daryl Mansbridge and a Joe Leahy brace.
The goals were shared around for Monkton during their 3-2 win at West Dragons, with Matthew Davies nipping in for the first and Daniel Scourfield and Craig George grabbing the others.

Hundleton were also on form as they notched up a 4-0 win against Milford Athletic.
Marcus Adie scored twice for the hosts, while Dylan Davies and Craig Manning grabbed the others.
Dafydd Bowen scored for Kilgetty in the second round of the third division cup, but that didn't help the Kingsmoor outfit go through to the next round after they lost 5-1 at Clarbeston Road.
Narberth seconds are through, however, after a Liam Phillips strike saw them overcome Cosheston Cougars at home.
There's no surprise to see Lamphey through to the next round after their 9-1 demolition of Milford United seconds.

In league action, goals from Sam Harts, Jake Proctor and Kristopher Stone ensured Carew seconds beat Camrose 3-2, while Lawrenny and Pennar Robins' seconds drew 1-1 following goals from Sam Davies and Ben Steele.
In division four, St. Clears' seconds won 5-1 at home to St. Ishmaels' seconds with top notch striker Simon Bancroft back on target after a fallow few weeks, finishing the game with a hat-trick.
Neil Thomson was also on target for the home side as was Louis Snelling in the comfortable win.
Manorbier United narrowly lost out on securing their eighth win of the season after going down 4-3 at home to Herbrandston Seconds.
Jordan Richard scored first for the hosts, followed by goals from Jacob Webster and William Cowan, but it was better news for Saundersfoot Sports seconds after they won 4-2 at their counterparts from Milford Athletic seconds.
It was all-square between Pennar Robins' thirds and Prendergast Villa seconds after the game finished 2-2. Adam John and Jamie Groves scored for the Robins.
Finally, in division five, Narberth thirds recorded their fifth win of the campaign following a 5-3 away victory at Letterston seconds.
Dafydd Wright scored twice for the visitors, as did Karl Jones, while Jacob Layfield got the ball rolling with his solitary strike.
Jason Evans and Luke Wickland scored twice, while Jake Seaton scored once in Angle seconds' 5-1 win at home over Lawrenny, while Hundleton seconds lost 5-2 at Carew thirds after a brace by Lloyd Hughes and a hat-trick by Adam Muskett.
Meanwhile, Pembroke Boro seconds won 3-1 against Solva seconds after the goals were shared between Edgar and Jamie Wallace, with Jamie claiming a brace.
