The 2015 opening of the Saundersfoot Bowling Club summer season takes place tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 pm.

The first bowl will be rolled, as tradition dictates, by the chairman of the Saundersfoot Community Council with Clr. Bill Cleverly doing the honours this year.

Afterwards, there will be a friendly roll up (weather permitting) followed by some social chat in the bar.

Club treasurer Mike Ashbridge will be in attendance to receive those membership fees that have not yet been paid and to hand out this year's club and county handbooks.

New and prospective members as well, of course, as the old stalwarts (ok, some are not so old!) are welcome to attend and get the season off to a successful start.

There is a full fixture list for all teams in the club and this is the start of two special years for Saundersfoot with Ceris Hewlings having the honour of being the West Wales Ladies County Bowling Association president for 2015, which will be followed by Paul Blayney's presidency of the men's Pembrokeshire County Bowling Association in 2016.

Good luck to all the members, many of whom have been working hard getting everything ready, for a summer blessed with sunshine and good bowling.
