Saundersfoot AFC held their annual football dinner and presentation evening at the Swallow Tree Gardens on Saturday, June 22, with first team manager Sam Coleman giving his thanks to everyone who attended.
"An excellent evening was had by all at Swallow Tree Gardens. Some of the people I'd like to thank for their help and commitment this season are Susan and Brian McKehon for their excellent photos and support, Richard Cope for help with the pitch, Mo Kershaw for running the line and helping out on Saturdays, Tiffer Jenkins as secretary, Andrew Spencer club chairman, Gareth Hunt for guiding the 2nds to safety in the fourth division, plus all the players and supporters for their commitment and effort," he said.
"Special thanks are reserved for my assistant coach John Wakeham, who after four years with the club travelling from Neath twice a week for training and games, has decided to call it a day, leaving some big shoes to fill. He will be sorely missed by all at the club and for me personally it's been a pleasure working with him the last two seasons," added Sam.
The club's annual general meeting also took place last Tuesday night at the Sports Club ahead of pre-season training which starts on Tuesday, at 6.30 pm, on the Greenhill Astroturf.
"The new season will soon be upon us and hopefully we can have another successful season. We hope to have everyone there for pre-season training and new faces are more than welcome," concluded Sam.
