COPPET week in Saundersfoot is the main event for dinghy sailors from near and far this week and the Bank Holiday sunshine will make the racing really enjoyable.
The week-long event features daily races for dinghies and small boats and is open to a wide range of sailors, from experienced racers to holiday visitors.
Three Redwings started the first race of the season at Tenby Sailing Club on Thursday, 21 May, but the gentle breeze soon dissipated, leaving them without a finish. Hopes are high for better conditions for the next race on Thursday, June 4th.
A pleasant afternoon breeze gave Robin and Howard a good outing on Saturday.
They sailed two races of four laps each of the course set by race officer Lewis, with Robin taking double honours in his Europe 444.
Cruiser Racing: May 23rd: Race 4 of the calendar attracted three entries for a two lap race using the dinghy course in a force 2/3 South Westerly wind.

Preparations are well underway for Tenby Regatta and Round Caldey race on June 13/14.
The regatta is open to a wide range of boats, including dinghies and cruisers, with several races run under handicap formats so different classes can compete together.
The Round Caldey Race is the standout event of the weekend. Boats start off Tenby and sail an anti‑clockwise course around the island.
The following weekend the Annual Passage Race from Hobbs Point to Tenby is on Saturday, May 20. Further Details from Tom Eyre on 07411715037.
TSC is welcoming the RYA Welsh Dragon series on 27/28 June to encourage juniors to race. Details at https://www.tenbysailingclub.org.uk/junior-sailing. Fishguard is the venue on July 12th.
