As we near the end of another year in the life of Tenby Rabbits, captain Phil Carpenter can look back on an excellent term in charge.

Summer League: At the time of going to press, we are currently top of Pool A with 64 points, having won all six home matches and winning away at Haverfordwest and gaining a half at Garnant. This has been our best performance in over 10 years.

We now need to see whether Carmarthen or Garnant can catch us, as they complete their remaining fixtures.

We also beat Ashburnham to regain the Tom McLean Snuff Box.

Peter Nobes Salvers: Due to the inclement weather on the third day of our trip to Bryn Meadows, this event was only played in September. The original eight pairs drawn on the trip had to be tweaked slightly due to the non-availability of a few players.

As usual, this was a keenly contested competition played under a four ball better ball stableford format. In third place with 44 points was the Narberth pairing of Mark Edwards and Dafydd Evans. In second place with 45 points were John Ball and Chris Davies, but the winners with 46 points were Bill Davies and Mike Fox.

The nearest the pin competition on the 12th was won by Richard Prout and the longest drive competition on the 14th was won by John Ball.

Club Finals Day: The Rabbits were proudly represented by Paul Davies, who went on to win the Charles Mathias Trophy by a 4 and 2 margin. He was ably assisted by his caddy, Mark Edwards.

B & H Shield: Our only remaining fixture is the B & H Shield which is open to anyone who has played at least one game in this year's Summer League. Tee-off is at 9 am this Sunday, September 28. This is a qualifying yellow box stableford competition and also includes the annual Captain v Vice Captain 'hidden' match.

AGM and Winter League: Immediately following the conclusion of the B & H we will hold our AGM and arrange the 2013/14 Winter League fixtures.
