Dinghy racing in Tenby for the Sailing Club will begin with a practice race on March 30, followed on Saturday April 6 by three races to compete for the Doctor White Cup.

The season will continue with two races every Saturday, the first one starting at 3 pm, and one race on Tuesday evenings, starting at 6.30 pm.

Jon Nuttall could not race in Neyland last Sunday, he was busy with a training session for the Tera dinghies in Dale. Meantime, Sailing Captain Dan Jackson and Alistair Lindsey had fun with the Pembroke Model Yacht Club on the Millpond where four boats had their first race.

Cruiser racing season will start on Saturday May 4. The annual Lifting-in of the Caldey Boats, Cruisers, and other craft, will take place on Wednesday April 10.

In the Clubhouse, a reminder that ex- Commodore Terry Evans will be hosting another brain teasing quiz this coming Saturday at 8 pm.

Junior Training - Spaces are still available for any youngsters over the age of 8 to learn Sailing skills. Registration is on April 3 and 10.

Congratulations to Geoff Titterton (pictured) of the Sailing Club who was recently awarded a certificate and badge by the Royal Voluntary Service in recognition of 20 years service as a volunteer.

Geoff started with the WRVS in 2004, delivering Meals on Wheels, and continued driving for the Country Cars scheme after Meals on Wheels was discontinued.

Geoff celebrated his 80th birthday in February, and says he will continue to volunteer with the RVS until his driving skills deteriorate!
