TENBY Sailing Club’s Annual Regatta is open to all next weekend with handicap racing on Saturday, 12 July starting at 12.30 followed on Sunday by the annual Round Caldey Race with cruisers starting at 11am and dinghies starting at 11.15am.

The official result of the dinghy race at Tenby on Tuesday, 1 July was that only Bill and Pete in R228 sailed the correct course on every lap and the other five competitors were scored as “did not finish”.

Bill lost a fair bit of time when he sailed back to the correct gybe mark, after initially rounding the wrong one, as everyone else did.

Three races were held under cloudy skies on Saturday with gusty wind giving some exciting sailing.

Results:

Race 1: 1, Europe 986, Robin Wood; 2, Osprey 1380, Dan Jackson and Matt Goldwait; 3, ILCA7 200714, Julian Cumpsty; 4, ILCA7 205335, Jake Marsden; 5, Scorpion 1995, Peter Rose and Sharon Thompson; 6, RS600 874, Steve Leach.
