This coming Sunday, March 31, the South Wales Autograss League will hold its first race meeting of the season at Castle Lloyd Farm, Red Roses, Pendine, starting at 11 am. It will also be the league’s first national qualifying round for this year’s National Championships being held near Stratford Upon Avon.

The South Wales Autograss League, consisting of five clubs, was the top league in the National Autograss Sport Association in 2018, with five National Champions - Steven and Sadie Lindsey, Gwen Reeves, Tori Coles and Alice Bevans, who also went on to take the National Champion of Champions title, plus two British Autograss titles, and Barry Lewis, who was crowned United Kingdom Autograss Champion.

There will be two sets of heats prior to the grand finals for men, ladies and junior competitors, with many new drivers taking part this year in the South Wales League. Juniors can start racing from the age of 12 up to 16, but next year, 2020, the governing body of autograss racing has lowered the starting age to 10 in the junior saloon class.

With good weather forecasted prior to racing on Sunday, an action-packed day is expected, with close and exciting racing.
