The first ever Golf Union of Wales Senior Greensome Foursomes Finals were held at Creigiau Golf Club, near Cardiff, on September 20.

Creigiau is a well manicured mature parkland course. The competition is for male golfers who are at least 55-years-old.

The finals were contested by 26 pairs representing golf clubs from all over Wales. Each pair had to qualify to represent their own club.

The inaugural winners of the event were Tenby GC’s Austin Davies (right) and Jerry Whitehouse (left), who scored 38 points. Both performed well on the day.

Joint runners-up were Celtic Manor and Mond Valley with 36 points each, whilst Garnant Park and Radyr both had 35 points.
