The Seasiders faced a decent Pennar United team away. With the wind blowing an absolute hoolie, the conditions were going to be a leveller.

Having won every single game this season, the coaches, Dewi Davies and Phil Catlin, were keen to keep up the 100 per cent win rate.

Tenby started brightly and soon the rocket Dylan Morgan took off on his toes down the righthand side to provide a lovely ball for his opposite winger Archie Smith to slot a fine finish to take the lead.

The Seasiders continued to dominate and the excellent Jack Jones struck, but the Pennar ’keeper denied him.

Ned Davies, Teejay Gardner and Callum Karaka were making strong runs from defence and causing havoc .

The homesters were making their own moves and soon won a free-kick which was saved by the ever-dependable ’keeper Rhys Mansell.

Tenby continued to play some decent football and Jack Jones pushed his shot wide. Charlie Gregory then witnessed his go the same way.

The game was evenly poised and the Tenby defence was being tested! Ned Davies was having a fine day and made a lovely double trouble tackle.

Pressure was on the home team and a free-kick was well deserved for Tenby, but Archie Smith from the left culd only stand and watch as his shot went over the crossbar.

Half-time came and the visitors were still one-nil up.

The second half was pretty much the same. Charlie Gregory made a beautiful run, but his strike hit the beans. New boy this season Michael Davies (pictured) pushed from his backline on many occasions and tried his best to get on the scoresheet to improve the advantage, but it was Finnan Arthur who had a probing run with a decent strike.

Jake Allen (also pictured) and William Malone were keeping themselves busy, as was the tricky Charlie Phillips and Kurt Sarrionandia. Subs were being changed again, but before the visitors could maintain their 2-0 lead, Pennar gained a free-kick and, despite his efforts, Rhys Mansell was caught out by the blowy conditions and the ball flew over him and into the net.

Tenby still had the advantage, but the homesters were literally chucking everything at them. Soon after, though, another free-kick came Tenby’s way. Charlie Gregory stood over it and floated a beautiful ball in and it was narrowly headed over! Not by Archie Smith, not by Jack Jones nor the excellent Joe Evans; it was so nearly a lovely finish by the steady Eddie that is Ned Davies, but he watched his header go over.

Anyway, job was done and by securing yet another win, the Seasiders have won every single match this season and have already won the league with two matches to play.

They are still in the Pembrokeshire Cup and have an away match against Neyland, followed by a step up a gear against Pontardulais Under 16s in the West Wales Cup. Good luck you Seasiders.

UNDER 13s

Having reached the quarter-finals of the West Wales Cup, the undefeated Under 13s knew this would be their toughest opposition to date.

Drawn at home against Llanelli side Garden Village, who top the league in that area, the boys knew this was a tough ask and it was.

Both teams tried to show dominance during the first few minutes and play was end to end; however, it wasn’t long before Garden Village took an early lead.

Tenby fought back and Max levelled the score after a foul on Iori in the box led to a penalty being awarded.

With the scores back level, the Tenby boys tried their hardest to match the speed of the attack, but found themselves back-pedalling and at half-time the score was 3-1 to Village.

The second half saw the boys struggle with the intensity and more goals followed from the visitors. Some were unlucky not to have been saved by the ’keeper and the final score of 7-1 did not show a true reflection of the game, as Tenby fought hard and created their own chances, but just could not find the back of the net.

We wish Garden Village good luck for the next round and think they are likely to go far in the competition.

Still the Pembrokeshire Cup and the league to play for, though, so good effort boys.

Team: Kyle, Jac, Jack, George, Iori, Morgan, Toby, TJ, Dylan, Max, Lewis, Taine and Leon.

Under 7s

Tenby Under 7s hosted Prendergast Blue at home on Saturday morning in one of the games of the season.

The conditions didn’t help, with the wind howling across the astro, making it very difficult to control the ball, but Tenby were brilliant, with the determination and hard work everyone showed outstanding.

With the game very close going into the last quarter, the score being 2-2, a great team goal in pretty much the last minute sealed a 3-2 victory for Tenby.

Special mention to Ethan Brace for winning man of the match after showing some great ball control and some great tackling.
