For a team needing points to survive the drop into division two, St. Clears could have done without a trip to high-flying Goodwick United, especially as the teams are poles apart in the league.
Prior to the game, St. Clears were propping up the division and Goodwick were leading it and that’s how it stood after the game as the Phoneix Park outfit won 1-0.
The result may not have done the visitors any favours, but their performance would have as it was improved on previous weeks and with 10 games left, more performances like this could help them survive another season in the top flight.
Narberth were away from home, too, and they also lost as a trip to Neyland gave them nothing except a 3-0 defeat.
