KILGETTY AFC Women and Girls Players headed down to Tenby Harbour on Sunday to show support for Cymru Women's team who will be playing in the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 finals in Switzerland.

The players and coaches posed for photographs by the Crys Cymru, a giant inflatable shirt with the names of the players selected for the campaign proudly displayed on the back of the giant shirt, in tribute to the individuals who will represent the nation on the European stage.

Kilgetty are hoping that Cymru’s efforts to reach and compete at the Euros will inspire others to attend their pre-season training sessions.

They kick off on Friday, 7 June from 6.45pm until 8pm at Lower Common Park, Pembroke. All abilities are welcomed.

The FAW’s ‘Ein Crys Cymru’ tour started at the foot of Yr Wyddfa in Llanberis on Thursday with manager Rhian Wilkinson announcing her 23-player squad at the peak of the 3,560 foot mountain.

The squad includes Pembrokeshire’s Angharad James who took over as skipper from Sophie Ingle in 2024.

James joined the Arsenal Academy in 2010 at the age of 16, after playing for Manorbier Ladies.

She has previously played for English FA Women's Super League clubs Arsenal, Bristol Academy, Notts County, Yeovil Town, Everton, Reading, and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as American clubs North Carolina Courage and Orlando Pride.

The 31-year-old, who now plies her trade with Seattle Reign, is the youngest player to reach 100 caps for the Wales national football team. She achieved this milestone at the age of 28, in September 2022, during a World Cup qualification game against Slovenia.
