Last Friday saw the ‘Jolly Challenge’ knockout take place at Narberth RFC. Unfortunately, there was a poor turnout, with only six teams making the effort for the £100 prize money for the finalists.
Losing semi-finalists were RFC Otters A and Farmers A, runners-up were the Ivy Bush and winners were the Dragon, who came from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
A mention to the other teams who made the effort to play, RFC Otters B and the White Lion.
Only notable individual achievement on the night was a 180 from Jamie Bate (RFC Otters A).
Omitted from last week’s report was a 180 from Nigel Thomas (Ivy Bush) in the Captains knockout.
Tonight (Friday) sees the group stages of the doubles knockout taking place at the Dragon, Farmers, Ivy Bush and RAOB, with one winner per group. Players are asked to be there for an 8.45 pm draw.
