A TEAM who only joined the Tenby District Darts League two years ago have completed a sensational rise to the very top – clinching both the League Championship and the prestigious 1001 competition titles in a memorable debut season at the top.
Led by captain Joe Evans, the squad consisting of Rhys Morgan, Rhys Eynon, Rhydian Eynon, Zac Rowell, Tom Wright, and Taz Richards dominated the long campaign which runs from October through to May, finishing well clear of the chasing pack to land the league trophy.
To cap off a truly outstanding season, The Bowls Club Crown side also claimed victory in the league’s highly competitive 1001 tournament – a feat rarely achieved in the same season, and one that underlines their consistency, skill, and team spirit.
For a group that only entered the league in 2024, the success has exceeded all expectations. What began as a fresh challenge has quickly turned into a golden era, with the players combining natural talent with hard work and commitment across every match night.
Captain Joe Evans praised his teammates, saying: “We couldn’t have asked for more. To come into the league just two years ago and go from learning the ropes to winning the league and the 1001 is something we’re all incredibly proud of.
“Every single player stepped up when it mattered most, and the support we’ve had has been brilliant.”
Now established as the team to beat, the squad will look to defend their crowns next season – but for now, they are enjoying the celebrations after writing their names into local darts history.
