Saundersfoot played Hook in the Alec Colley Cup on Tuesday evening. This proved to be an absorbing and exciting match, with Hook posting a total of 121 from their 20 overs. Saundersfoot responded with some style, staying ahead of the run rate throughout the innings. Short but effective partnerships between Mike and Sam Franklin, then Sam with his brother Jack set Saundersfoot on their way. The dismissal of Jack and then Sam brought Danny James and Paul Morris to the wicket, with them forging what proved to be the crucial partnership of the match. Danny (seen above) top scored with 20 and Saundersfoot went on to finish with 122 for 8, with an over to spare. Saundersfoot will play Llanrhian at home in the next round on June 19.
