This year’s That’ll Be The Day Show at Folly Farm on July 8 and 9 promises to be the best ever with their 30th-anniversary show.

Indeed, the whole event carries an anniversary theme as this is the 10th year that promoter Phil Thompson MBE has staged this show at Folly Farm, Begelly.

It is also the 25th year of the Charity Challenge Weekend; that was originally launched under the Texaco banner when the original Texaco Snooker Charity Challenge event was staged and organised by Ken Hodgkinson and Phil Thompson MBE.

The Charity Challenge Weekend has raised over £1.1 million (with 15 per cent match funding) for various charities throughout the years.

The current event continues to be very successful, and this is mainly due to the That’ll Be The Day cast, Folly Farm and their staff, Aggreko and the event support team led by Paul Martin, with a special thank you to Amanda Jayne Myatt.

This year’s event has been sponsored by the Western Telegraph and Radio Pembrokeshire, with special thanks to Kevin Hire, of Radio Pembrokeshire, who has supported this event for many years. The organisers look forward to seeing all the regulars there, along with new theatre-goers, and in the words of Folly Farm’s managing director, Chris Ebsworth, “come and enjoy one of the best shows and party nights in Pembrokeshire.”

A final word from promoter Phil Thompson MBE, “a very exciting That’ll Be The Day announcement will be made on the Friday night!”
