Templeton School has celebrated a wonderful Harvest Festival - bringing together pupils, families, friends and members of the local community for a heartwarming occasion filled with music, generosity and community spirit.

Templeton Chapel was filled with family members and friends who came along to support the children and celebrate this special occasion. Each class performed both a Welsh and an English song, showcasing the children's enthusiasm, confidence and musical talents.

It was particularly lovely to see so many people coming together, reflecting the strong sense of community that exists within Templeton School and the wider village.

Beyond the wonderful performances, the Harvest Festival provided an opportunity for the school community to make a meaningful difference to others.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of parents, families and friends, an impressive £140 was raised for Templeton Chapel. This money will contribute towards renovations and improvements to the chapel, helping to preserve and enhance an important building at the heart of the local community.

The spirit of giving extended even further through the Harvest foodbank collection, organised across Templeton School and its federated partner, Tavernspite School.

Families from both schools donated an incredible amount of food and essential supplies, with the donations estimated to provide enough food to support 75 families.

This remarkable achievement demonstrates the kindness, compassion and generosity of the two school communities. The donations will make a genuine difference to those in need and highlight the importance of working together to support others.

Reflecting on the success of the celebration, Headteacher Mrs Sarah Arthur expressed her gratitude and pride in the school community, stating:"I am incredibly grateful to our wonderful school community for the kindness, generosity and unwavering support they continue to show. It was truly heartwarming to see so many families and friends come together to celebrate our Harvest Festival and support both the chapel and those in need. I am immensely proud of all our children for their excellent performances.

“They sang beautifully, represented our school wonderfully and made the occasion incredibly special. The generosity shown by families across both Templeton and Tavernspite schools is a wonderful reminder of what makes our community so special. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this year's Harvest Festival such a memorable and successful occasion."
