The 97th Annual Conference of the National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI)-Wales, hosted by Pembrokeshire Federation, will be held at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven on Wednesday, March 23.

Based on the theme ’Pathways’, speakers include:-

Jamie Owen - Journalist, Broadcaster, Author and former BBC Wales Today Presenter; David Wilson - Landscape photographer; Nia Roberts - Journalist and Broadcaster; and Rachel Downing - Head of Policy and Campaigns, Target Ovarian Cancer.

NFWI speakers include Eirian Roberts - Chair of NFWI-Wales; Ann Jones - Chair of the NFWI; and Rhian Connick - Head of NFWI-Wales.

Jamie Owen and David Wilson will share their passion for Pembrokeshire. They will reflect on the year they spent travelling Pembrokeshire, camera and notebook in hand, exploring the fascinating customs, traditions and working practices of rural communities throughout the county.

Nia Roberts and Rachel Downing will discuss ovarian cancer, following last June’s overwhelming vote to raise awareness of ovarian cancer.

The conference at the Torch Theatre on March 23, which will also be live-streamed, will start at 10.45 am and finish at 4 pm. Members will be able to attend the event in person or join virtually.
