Firefighter assault charges dismissed

A MILFORD Haven man was bound over for six months following the dismissal of two charges involving violence towards emergency workers and one of criminal damage to a holding cell.

Max Fairbairn, of Harbour Way, Hakin, appearing before Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Monday, October 5, faced charges of assaulting a firefighter at Hakin and also at Haverfordwest on or around August 16, 2026 while the firefighter was acting in the exercise of his functions as an emergency worker.

He was also accused of damaging a holding cell in custody belonging to Dyfed-Powys Police at Haverfordwest on August 16.

All charges were dismissed on the grounds that no evidence had been offered. There was no criminal conviction, but in view of “disorderly behaviour towards emergency workers,” the 20-year-old was bound over for six months, in the sum of £50, to keep the peace.
