FAMILY business Williams Shipping has further strengthened its Milford Haven marine operation with the acquisition of Willtorc, a 2025-built Damen Multi Cat 1506.

The latest addition forms part of the company’s continued investment in and expansion of its Marine fleet, helping Williams Shipping broaden the range of support it can provide to customers across marine, port and infrastructure operations.

Previously named Torc, the vessel will predominantly be based at Williams Shipping’s Milford Haven operation, where she will work alongside the company’s established local fleet and support a wide variety of activity across the Haven.

Built to a high specification, Willtorc is powered by two Volvo main engines driving one-metre diameter propellers in nozzles, delivering close to 8 tonnes of bollard pull.

The vessel is also equipped with a Caterpillar generator, Heila crane and large deck winch with drum end, giving her the flexibility to undertake a wide range of marine operations.

She holds Bureau Veritas Hull and Machinery Class and is certified to the latest Workboat Code 3 standard.

Willtorc joins the fifth generation family business’s Milford Haven-based fleet, which includes the EuroCarrier 2209 Willchallenge, 18-metre Meercat Willsupport, fast launch and pilot boat Willprospect, and fast RIB Delta.

Philip Williams, Managing Director of Williams Shipping Marine, said:

“Willtorc is a very capable and versatile addition to our fleet and is particularly well suited to the type of work we undertake in and around Milford Haven. The combination of bollard pull, deck winch, crane and working deck gives us greater flexibility across a wide range of operations, from towing and anchor handling through to barge and jetty support.

“This latest investment further strengthens our capability in Milford Haven and reflects our continued commitment to maintaining a modern and dependable fleet, while continuing to broaden the range of solutions we can offer our customers.”
