Laurence Brown from Pembroke Dock has become the first person in South Wales to win a medal in the National Blind Shooting League.
Although he has only been shooting for eight months, Laurence Brown came top of Division 10 of the 14-division league.
Following his success, he will now shoot in Division 8.
Laurence is a member of the Modern Print Inclusive Target Club.
The shooting club, based in St. Patrick's Community Hall in Pembroke Dock, includes both sighted and visually impaired members and had a number of successes in 2011.
Angela Miles, disability sports development officer for Sport Pembrokeshire - the sports development arm of Pembrokeshire County Council, said she was delighted with the progress of the club.
"Their range for blind shooting has only been open for eight months and already gold medals are being achieved," she said.
