As part of the Canine Partners National Bluebell Walk Campaign 2009 - supported by Purina Petcare, there will be a fund-raising walk taking place in Amroth on Saturday, May 9. The walk will start at 12 noon, with all funds raised going to support Canine Partners, a charity specialising in providing highly-trained assistance dogs to people with disabilities.

The Canine Partners National Bluebell Walk Campaign is the perfect way for people to get active for a worthwhile cause - ideally when the bluebells are in full bloom. It has been running since 2005 and to date has raised £66,000 for the charity. The Amroth walk starts from the car park at Colby Woodland Garden and lasts for one to two hours, covering both woodland and beach.

Walk organiser Sarah Ellis commented: "This walk takes place in lovely surroundings and we are hoping to raise plenty of money for Canine Partners. We encourage anyone from the local area, as well as their dog(s), to join us for an enjoyable walk - as well as the opportunity to find out more about the work of Canine Partners."
