Wild weather this morning and overnight, stemming from Storm Bram has seen Pembrokeshire seafront roads closed for safety reasons.
Pembrokeshire County Council has reported that the roads at Amroth and Wiseman’s Bridge seafronts have closed for safety reasons due to waves overtopping and flying debris; while the A487 at Newgale has also closed due to flooding from Brandy Brook.
“Natural Resources Wales is deploying machinery later today to release water backing from the shingle bank. We will not be able to reopen the road until this work has been completed. There is also a broken down vehicle on the hill,” said a spokesperson for PCC on the situation at Newgale.
Three flood warnings have been issued for Dale, the River Ritec in Tenby and Solva.
The B4318 at Gumfreston remains closed, impacted with tidal locking, river flooding and field run off.
Common Road in Pembroke is closed due to flooding; while Loveston to Jeffreyston is also closed.
The spokesperson continued: “Surface water flooding continues to affect roads so please drive to the conditions.
“Some railway providers are operating a reduced rail service due to Storm Bram. Please check before travelling.”
