Pembroke Farmers Club held a Bicentenary Celebration Concert at Folly Farm earlier this year with special guest, the Welsh tenor, Trebor Edwards. Also performing were Bella Voce, Pembroke and District Male Voice Choir and Whitland and District Male Voice Choir, who gave an excellent and varied programme. Compere was Dai Jones, of Llanilar.

As a result, a donation of £2,000 was kindly presented to Mr. Rhys Watkins, the representative of Wales Air Ambulance, which is a charity that relies on the generosity of the public.

The presentation was made at the club’s show day at Lamphey last month by the Lord Lieutenant of Dyfed, Miss Sara Edwards, accompanied by club members Mrs. Ruth Phillips, Mrs. Elizabeth Minchin, Mr. Richard Prout, chairman, Mr. Gareth Hopkins and Mr. David Phillips.
