The Sound of Music returns to Saundersfoot in this heartwarming amateur production, brought to life by a passionate cast and crew.

Set in Austria on the eve of World War II, this timeless classic tells the inspiring story of Maria, a spirited young woman who leaves the convent to become governess to the seven children of the widowed Captain von Trapp. Through music, love, and perseverance, Maria brings joy back into their lives and helps them find the courage to stand up for what’s right.

Local amateur musical theatre society Saundersfoot Footlights is pleased to welcome Anna Nelmes back to the lead role of Marie accompanied by new member Jack Butler as the dashing Captain von Trapp.

Libbie Stewart-Walvin (playing Baroness Elsa Shraeder) and James Marjoram (as Max Detweiler) make a great supporting duo!
