Tenby Great British Bake Off star Michelle Evans-Fecci was a welcome guest at the launch of Vision Arts’ upcoming production of The Great British Bake Off Musical, opening at Milford Haven this October.

Following a packed audition process, the newly-cast company met for their first rehearsal — and they had an extra surprise when Michelle walked through the door!

Adding to the excitement, Michelle brought along a selection of her own delicious chocolate cakes for the cast to enjoy — a gesture that was met with smiles (and empty plates) all round.

The Pembrokeshire mum was a contestant in series 10 of Channel 4’s Great British Bake Off and and was star baker of cake week.

Michelle shared her experiences of life inside the famous white tent, from the pressure of the challenges to the camaraderie between bakers, before opening the floor to questions from the cast. She then stayed for the rest of the rehearsal, soaking in the first read-through and musical numbers.

At the end of the evening, Michelle said: “This sounds incredible already – I can’t wait to see the final production in October.”

Vision Arts describes The Great British Bake Off Musical as “a heart-warming, laugh-out-loud celebration of friendship, baking and the joy of doing what you love.”

Set in the famous Bake Off tent, the musical follows a group of amateur bakers as they whisk, knead and prove their way through the competition, all while discovering the power of community and a good slice of cake.

“Packed with catchy songs, touching moments and plenty of humour, it’s a treat for audiences of all ages,” the theatre company announces.

The show runs at the Boulevard Theatre at Milford Haven on Friday and Saturday, October 10 and 11, 2025, with performances including a Saturday matinee.
