THE ladies of St Florence WI have been celebrating the grand total raised that enabled the donation of a defibrillator to the Pembrokeshire village.

With a target of £1,395, St Florence WI’s fundraising campaign for the purchase of a community defibrillator to be sited outside the village hall was launched in October 2025.

St Florence village hall is where a variety of clubs and activities take place, and it’s there that St Florence WI meets - every second Monday of the Month at 1.45pm.

A JustGiving page was set up and villagers were invited to donate. The local village Café, Bramley’s Tearooms, were extremely generous in their support, and allowed the placing of a collection bucket at the Café.

Last month the WI arranged and hosted a Community Festive Tea for the village. There was an abundance of cake, a raffle and the pupils from the local village primary school provided entertainment with a fabulous repertoire of their fun and festive songs.

Thanks to the generosity of the community, the target was exceeded!

St Florence WI are now planning some awareness sessions for Defib and CPR training for their community in the spring.
