BORN within a year of each other, JMW Turner and John Constable were great British painters who used landscape painting to reflect the changing world around them. They were also also the greatest of rivals.

Celebrating the 250th anniversary of their births, a new Exhibition on Screen documentary explores Turner and Constable’s intertwined lives and legacies alongside a ground-breaking Tate exhibition.

Turner and Constable screens at the Torch Theatre on Sunday, March 15, 4.30pm; an opportunity to see these greats side-by-side, as they so often were in life.

Critics compared their starkly different styles to a clash of ‘fire and water’. Discover unexpected sides to both artists with insights from leading experts.
