AT 10am on Saturday, September 26, whilst they were conducting a search exercise near Milford Haven, the crew of Angle Lifeboat were diverted to assist a paddleboarder in difficulty off Barafundle Beach.

The crew abandoned their exercise and immediately began making best speed to Barafundle in slight to moderate seas with a southwesterly force 4 wind. Tenby All-Weather Lifeboat and St Govan’s Coastguard Rescue Team were also tasked.

Whilst rounding St Govan’s Head, the crew were stood down when the coastguard confirmed that the paddleboarder had self recovered safe and well.

The crew made their way back to Milford Haven and conducted a few exercises whilst en route.

The lifeboat was back alongside her berth and ready for further service by midday.
