A Tenby man will go on trial at Crown Court after being charged with rape and sexual assault.

Fifty-seven-year-old Wayne Allen [known locally as Harpo] of St Julians Street has been charged with intentionally penetrating a woman without her consent and without a reasonable belief that she was consenting on May 20, 2024; and intentionally touching a woman sexually, when she did not consent and he did not reasonably believe that she was consenting, between May 19 and 20, 2024.

No pleas were entered to the charges when the case was heard at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 3.

The case was sent to Swansea Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on April 2, with the defendant released on conditional bail.
